Six miles north of Custer on Thunderhead Mountain, is a world-class memorial
depicting the Lakota Sioux warrior, Crazy Horse. After half a century,
the colossal 88-foot high face of Crazy Horse was officially dedicated.
It was a landmark day for an undertaking so immense that progress is measured
in decades and generations. A mountain sized statue of an Indian man and
a spirited war-horse that's as long as a cruise ship and taller than a
sixty story skyscraper.
